About Us

The Family Fishery

The Family Fishery opened its doors in 1976 by owner Tom Muraski who started working in the seafood business when he was 13-years old.  After nearly 40 years, Tom decided it was time to retire and sold his business.

We at The Family Fishery continue the many traditions that started in 1976 by offering:

  •  Wide varieties of fish and seafood for purchase to prepare at home, to eat in the restaurant, or to carry-out
  •  A casual dine-in experience
  •  Delicious options for meals during Lent
  •  All you can eat specials 5 days a week
  •  Family value packs to serve a number of people
  •  Pictures of family on the walls of the restaurant

As our family comes together to continue the many traditions that have made The Family Fishery an important part of the community, we are committed to taking the long-standing name of our restaurant very seriously by serving the best seafood at reasonable prices and working to make our customers feel like family.

Family - the most important part of The Family Fishery.

From Mundelein Munch post June 2018: Come on out to The Munch where the most important part of The Fishery is Family. Come meet mine. My sister, dad, mom, and nephew have all been popping in and out to give a hand in bringing you a lot of the same delicious food we offer at the restaurant.
